Getting Started

To start using SiteTree Pro you have to go only through three swift steps: installation, selection of the content types and activation of the sitemaps.

Installation

Before you proceed, you have to know that SiteTree Pro cannot run on versions of WordPress older than WordPress 5.2. However don't worry, the plugin will warn you if there are environment incompatibilities.

To install SiteTree Pro you just have to upload with an FTP client the sitetree-pro folder in the .../wp-content/plugins/ directory.

If you are upgrading from SiteTree, you can either replace the sitetree folder with the sitetree-pro one, or let the folders cohabit.

Selection of the Content Types

Once you have activated the plugin, the first thing to do is to go to Dashboard > SiteTree and choose what types of content to include in the sitemap you need for your website:

Activation of the Sitemaps

Now, you can finalise the publishing of your sitemaps by clicking on the 'Activate' buttons you find in the SiteTree Dashboard. Note that to activate the Site Tree you first have to create the web page that will be going to house it.
